Curvature Games

Curvature Games is an award-winning VR gaming start-up from the heart of Hamburg. Founded in 2020, we started our company based upon the PhD thesis from our co-founder and Co-Managing Director Prof. Dr. Eike Langbehn, who researched Redirected Walking as a way of locomotion in VR. Based upon the researched algorithms and techniques, who leverage the immersion and the way we move in VR and enable large virtual worlds in small tracking areas, we are creating immersive virtual words with an emphasis on storytelling.

We work and create games for VR installations in the location based entertainment sector, as well as games for home entertainment and consumer headsets. We enjoy the multiplayer & co-location possibilities that you can create in VR arcade stations, VR exit rooms and other out-of-home entertainment areas, as well as the creative freedom and new ways of storytelling that comes with single-player games.

We are a young but passionate team consisting of veterans as well as young motivated members. Three members of our team (including Game Director Marc Barnes and Co-Founder/Art Director Hannah Paulmann) worked at Roccat Games on "Elevator... to the Moon!", a VR adventure funded by Oculus and released on a variety of major platforms. Co-Founder and Creative Director Eike Langbehn has been working with VR since 2014 and published more than a dozen impactful VR research papers at highly renowned conferences such as ACM SIGGRAPH and IEEE VR. Co-Founder and Managing Director Dennis Briddigkeit brings in strong experiences in marketing & PR for international corporates and was involved in the german Oculus Rift launch 2016 as a PR consultant.
