Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is at the core of fighting climate change as a company or organisation. The main struggle is supplier-specific data and we are tackling this painpoint. Reducing time spent on conducting LCAs and therefore money for companies and organisations as well as time and nerves of LCA practitioners. Increasing the number of LCAs done per year, while also increasing both profit and sustainability of our customers.

We want to make LCA cheaper, faster, and more efficient. Where before data collection was a struggle, practitioners now share and trade that data directly. Through our global web platform, we enable leaner data-management and make LCA simpler by using AI-powered suggestions for model creation.

In a nutshell? We are changing the world of LCA for good!

We are building a web app, where people can upload, manage, and share their own datasets with others. Researchers already share datasets for free in their research papers, which we will incorporate with existing open-source databases into our platform to offer additional value from the start compared to searching through all databases by hand.

Some companies further want to publish the carbon footprint of their products on a trusted platform to display the sustainability of their products. A low carbon footprint is now a competitional advantage in many fields, with companies requiring suppliers to provide carbon footprint data in the future, and other companies introducing sustainability labels on product pages.

Early on, Lars knew he wanted to found his own company to fight climate change and create real impact and value for the society. He also knew he wouldn’t do it alone, always looking for people who shared his values. While working in a lot of different places Sabrina met inspiring leaders and worked in amazing teams. She also saw a lot of unused potential. Unused, due to structures, the lack of employer engagement or no room to grow. She felt the need to create a workplace, where people’s potentials are seen and utilized. Julia, who always cared about social justice and the environment, was looking for a job that would allow her to pursue her mission to shape our world towards sustainability and respect. She is also driven by the idea of working agile and knew it would be important for her to work with a team of like-minded individuals.

After a couple of iterations, painful learnings and a lot of growth, our focus lies now on Life Cycle Assessment. We believe LCA is one of the most important parts in fighting climate change. You can only profoundly change the economy which harms the climate if you know where the harm is done and how to change the products and processes behind it. Creating knowledge about companies’ CO2 emissions or a product carbon footprint and utilising that information is what we do today. By bringing LCA data together in a single easily accessible platform, we make it easier to find, publish, share, and use this data. Our smart suggestions based on AI even allow our customers to save a lot of time on finding the data they really need.
