Even though the services are paid we consider them as help because we encourage customers to actively participate in solving their problems along with the helpers they choose. That’s why we took the word “help” as our name: Uvvo is a free-style derivative of the Latin word “iuvo” which means “to help”.

Our main competitive advantage is that Uvvo is based on the reverse auction, which brings the following aspects:

• helpers have to compete by lowering the prices of their offers to be selected;

• customers get services at the lowest price, although they can choose any offer they have received;

• a helper who needs a part-time job can get an almost guaranteed contract simply by offering a minimum price.

We must also admit that many problems can be solved by people without special skills and experience - this fact greatly simplifies the registration and validation process.

Dr. Sergey Kosov received his Ph.D. in computer science (machine learning) and has experience founding a startup in 2018. He is responsible for the development of the entire web platform and its logic, as well as for the technical support, and marketing.
