Noah Labs

Noah Labs is a Berlin, Germany based startup that develops machine learning software for the diagnosis and monitoring of cardiovascular diseases. The firm is ISO 13485 certified as a manufacturer of software-based medical devices. Noah Labs is being supported by EIT Health and the state of Berlin. The company is also a member of the American Heart Associations Centre for Health Technology and Innovation.

Noah Labs develops voice-based machine learning software for the early detection of cardiovascular diseases incl. decompensated heart failure. As pulmonary edema and fluid accumulation in the vocal tract lead to changes in the sound of the voice, ML technology is able to detect the deterioration. The solution is currently being piloted at Charité Berlin and Clinic Barcelona. It will be delivered as part of Noah Labs Ark, the startup's already revenue-generating cardiovascular telemonitoring platform.

Oliver Weiss (CEO) is a serial entrepreneur who previously founded care platform Mecasa. He is a public health expert, repeatedly raised funds from the EU, and developed a healthcare DIN / ISO standard. Oliver holds a Master’s in Finance from Copenhagen Business School and started his career in M&A.

Dr. Leonhard Riehle (Chief Medical Officer) is a medical doctor specialized in cardiology. He previously worked in telemonitoring as a researcher at both Charité in Berlin and as Medical Director of startup MedKitDoc. In addition to his medical degree, Leonhard holds a business degree from WHU.

Marcus Hott (CTO) is a machine learning expert who programmed cardiac MRI sequences at Harvard Medical School with the technology rolled out across the US. He holds a Master’s in Machine Learning from TU Munich. Marcus previously worked for various healthcare startups and for Siemens.
